Why I Built VerifyMyVibe.com
Recently, I had a client reach out and say something that stuck with me. They told me they were planning to use Claude Code to build out a project, and they didn’t need us to build it. They just wanted us to review it afterward. That made perfect sense to me. Not because it replaces what we do, but because it highlights what’s changing in a very real way.
People can now generate real, working applications using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and others. In a lot of cases, they can get surprisingly far without ever writing traditional code. You can spin something up, click around, and it feels like a real product. But there’s still a gap there that most people don’t see until it’s too late.
“It Works” Isn’t the Same as “It’s Ready”
When someone says “it works,” what they usually mean is that the pages load, the buttons click, and the feature does what it’s supposed to do. That’s important, but it’s only part of the picture. It doesn’t tell you if it’s secure, if it will scale, if it’s maintainable, or if it’s going to break once real users start interacting with it.
Those problems don’t always show up right away. They tend to surface later, and when they do, they’re usually more expensive and more complicated to fix. The client who reached out understood that. They weren’t trying to guess. They wanted someone with experience to look at what they had and tell them what was actually there.
Where the Idea Came From
That conversation is what led me to build VerifyMyVibe. The idea itself is simple. If you used AI to build your app, we’ll review it and tell you if it’s actually ready for real-world use. We’re not rebuilding it or redesigning it. We’re looking at what you already have and verifying it.
We focus on security, code quality, performance, and overall structure. Then we give you a clear report of what we see, in plain English. No fluff, no overcomplication. Just what matters. If you want to take a look, the site is here: https://verifymyvibe.com[/LINK]
This Isn’t Anti-AI
We use these tools too, so this isn’t about pushing back against AI. They’re useful, they speed things up, and they can help with everything from scaffolding to debugging. But they also introduce problems that aren’t always obvious.
They can pull in outdated or unnecessary dependencies, duplicate logic, or introduce subtle security issues. They can also make decisions that technically work but don’t hold up under real usage. If you’ve been doing this long enough, you can spot those patterns pretty quickly. If you haven’t, it’s very easy to miss them.
What People Are Actually Asking For
What I’m seeing more and more isn’t people asking us to build something from scratch. It’s people saying, “I built this, can you tell me if it’s good?” That’s a different kind of request, and it doesn’t fit neatly into how most agencies operate.
Most agencies are built to build. They’re not really set up to review something that already exists, especially something generated by AI. Instead of trying to force that into what we already do at Clockwork, I wanted to spin this out into something focused and see if it stands on its own.
We’re Just Getting Started
This isn’t some big, overbuilt platform. Right now, it’s intentionally simple. You submit your project, we review it, and we give you real feedback. That’s the entire workflow.
I want to see what kind of traction this gets and how people respond to it. If it resonates, we’ll expand it. If it doesn’t, we’ll adjust. But the core idea feels solid, and it’s already coming from real conversations with real clients.
If You’re Using AI to Build Something
If you’re building with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or anything similar, you’re not doing anything wrong. In fact, you’re probably moving faster than you would have a year ago. But you are skipping a step that used to be built into the process, and that step is review.
If you’re even a little unsure about what you’ve built, it’s worth having someone take a look before you put it in front of real users. That’s exactly what this is for. You can check it out here: https://verifymyvibe.com[/LINK]
Final Thought
That one client request made something click for me. Not everyone needs a development team to build their app anymore, and that’s not a bad thing. But a lot of people still need someone to tell them if what they built is actually solid. That’s the gap VerifyMyVibe is trying to fill.
